Do you or someone you know want to learn to write songs? Songwriting is a craft that anyone can learn. If you play an instrument that's fantastic but even if you don't you can still write a song (think We Will Rock You by Queen).
Songwriting 101 lessons are online, instructor led classes designed to help beginners learn the craft of songwriting and mentor advanced beginners on their journey. Think of it like piano lessons or tennis lessons except for songwriting. Classes are once a week for four weeks (or twice a week for two weeks if you want to move faster). The goal is for the student to write their first song after four lessons. Songwriting skills, like all other skills, are developed over time with focus and practice. About the instructor: Jim Hewitt is a songwriter, producer, and audio engineer with over 35 years of experience including being signed as a major label record artist, engineering, producing & performing in recording studios across the country, and audio engineering for NBC. Currently, Jim writes songs for film and TV.
